Swell’s back again

Hello Friends,

The flatness is gone and the shoulder to head-plus conditions have returned to a south magnet near you. As of 0700, the MHL buoy was showing 2.7 m of 9-second S by SSE swell. Wind was coming from the west at 8-11 kts as of 0730. Skies were partly cloudy on a day with an 80% chance of showers. It was 7 C at RealSurf HQ as of 0800.

The swell had a pretty raw look to it and the lines were long, which means the bigger open stretches are going to be a challenge as it’s not too peaky. Water’s on 18 C and pollution at Dee Why is rated “unlikely”.

Your best shot is to hit it this morning before the wind swings south. Tomorrow morning for the early is a maybe. Depends on how soon the S-SE wind ramps up… same again for Wednesday… maybe. Swell energy should remain comfortably into the chest-ish plus range on sets right through the week, but according to the GFS model winds will be steady S-SE through to Saturday.
